We’re waiting for more details from our DNR contacts, but it looks like the DNR’s response to $1,500,000 of your hard earned tax dollars to spend and $4,100,000 low bid is to contract to build a trail to nowhere starting at the Lyndale lot.  If this happens, their next step will be to go back to the legislature with a sob story about having a trail to nowhere that they need to finish.

To stop this nonsense we need to stop ANY  further funding.  To stop further funding each an every one of you needs to contact your legislator today and tell them that you oppose any further funding of the Bloomington segment of the Minnesota Valley State Trail (River Bottoms Trail).

  1. I am concerned about a possible 10 foot paved trail on the MN Valley State Trail in Bloomington. I formerly “used” the paved trails at Hyland. I had to stop taking my dogs on these trails because of the danger posed by bike riders. I could foresee the same problems if the trails are paved. This area should be restricted. There are many good areas and trails for bike riders/racers without spoiling the State Trails in Bloomington.
